As well as all the improvements that are being carried out there have been other benefits to Eastlands customers and the local economy:

Contractors have so far created well over 100 training places to help get local people involved in the construction industry.  Currently over half of people working on these projects are local, with around 15% from the Eastlands area, and we encourage all our contractors to employ local labour wherever possible.
