About Eastlands Homes
" Creating a better future for you and your children in safe and successful neighbourhoods "

Eastlands Homes is a housing association formed in 2003 to take over and improve 2,800 of east Manchester’s former council homes.

Since then, we’ve started a £45 million improvement programme in which we are spending an average of £16,000 on each of our customer’s homes.

Our homes are more than just bricks and mortar - it’s what’s outside the front door too. That’s why we’re a key player in the partnerships and projects that are transforming east Manchester’s economic, social and cultural life. Eastlands House

We also believe that local people should lead the regeneration. So we have six east Manchester residents on the board that runs Eastlands Homes - equal partners with council representatives and others with business and local know-how.

In April 2007, our work was recognised by the Audit Commission, who named us among the top ten housing associations in the country that they have inspected. Their report described us as a ‘good service that has excellent prospects for improvement’.  You can read their report by  clicking here .

Most recently we have been selected as the preferred partner for the transfer of 5,400 homes from Manchester City Council. All council tenants living in these areas will have the opportunity to vote on the proposals. If they vote yes, then their homes will be transferred to Eastlands Homes in the same way that many of our existing customers did in 2003. Click here for more information.

Whether you’re a customer, partner, fellow housing professional or prospective employee, we hope you’ll agree that Eastlands Homes is a real force for good in improving the quality of life for everyone in east Manchester.

Eastlands Homes has charitable status and is a registered social landlord regulated by the Charities Commission and Housing Corporation.
